About Our Ministry
The Beautiful Feet Dance Ministry is dedicated to serving the Lord through Dance Ministry
and quality instruction. Donna Martelli, director, and her students travel nationally and
internationally offering classes, workshops and ministry presentations.
Donna Martelli, Director, also a licensed and an ordained minister, began serious ballet
study at the age of 10 and was a Principal Dancer with the Birmingham Ballet Company,
Birmingham, Alabama, during her teen years. Before she graduated from high school,
Donna had danced leading roles in Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Ondine and many original
works. After high school she toured Europe and North Africa with the renowned Harkness
Ballet of New York. Later, after receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior in 1980, she gave up
dancing, only to have Him give it back to her as a tool of ministry and evangelism. She has
taught ballet, modern dance, praise dance and related subjects at Jordan Academy of
Dance, Ballet Internationalle and other studios in Indianapolis, In. In 1985 The Beautiful
Feet Dance Ministry came into being and Donna both directs and dances with the
company. She implemented and teaches a course offering Certification in Christian
Dance. Currently she teaches dance locally and she travels nationally and internationally
conducting Christian dance classes, workshops, seminars and ministry presentations.
She is also a member of “3 In One International”, a Christian dance company based in
Bristol, England. It is her passion to train dancers who are called to dance for the Lord
Jesus!
Celi Taggart, Staff Instructor
With a BA in education from Purdue 1995, licensed IN K-6, Cecelia (Celi) Taggart has a
great deal of experience working with children. She has taught kindergarten and 1st grade
and has 2 young children of her own. She will be teaching children’s classes on the South
side of Indianapolis and in the Greenwood and Shelbyville areas as well as substitute
teaching for Director, Donna Martelli when needed..
Having studied various styles of Christian Dance for 4 years Celi is currently working on her
Certification in Christian Dance. Her teaching style is patient, positive and loving. She
genuinely cares for each child and is able to guide them in a fun yet educational experience
as they learn praise dance, creative movement and are introduced to basic ballet steps,
positions and movements.
Celi attends Shelbyville Community Church where she directs the dance ministry
composed of both children and adults.
The Beautiful Feet Dance Ministry has as it's goal to share the good news of
Jesus's love with a lost and dying world and to encourage and equip those who are
believers in Jesus. Dance is the tool that God has put in their hands for this purpose. They
travel nationally and internationally in this capacity. At least once a year they go to Romania
to share Jesus through dance, music and Biblical teaching.
